Never try to match drinks with a Jesuit

Got back from ASACCU conference at Loyola in Chicago. I think I gained 5 pounds in 4 days. All we did in between sessions was eat and drink. The campus is beautiful, right on Lake Michigan. We stayed in their brand new residence hall that puts everything at SHU to shame. Lounges with flat screen t.v.'s, beautiful Lake views. The college is a Jesuit institution and their VP of Student Affairs was a serious drinker.

The last night of the conference after celebrating mass, at which he drank a chalice of sacremental wine, he had like five gin and tonics in an hour before dinner. I was doing vodka and cranberry juice, and each time he went up he got re-fills for our group. After serious eating and boozing we all went to see "Late Night Catechism", funny as hell, and even funnier with drunk priests and nuns in the audience.

Hung over for the plane ride home was NOT fun. But the conference all in all was a good experience.
